Showers

You invite the guests, offer them punch as they arrive, and smilingly take credit for throwing a great party in a warm, lovely setting.  We’ll take care of the rest!

Minimum attendance is 12.  We always allow three hours so there’s plenty of time to open gifts without rushing your guests. Our meals are generally served buffet-style, with dessert as a separate served course.  We find this arrangement to be very congenial and conducive to animated conversation. Seating is available in our parlor, under our vine-covered arbor, or on the lawn under market umbrellas, depending on the size of your party and the time of year. Special dietary needs can also be accommodated with advance notice. We look forward to making your event a very personal and memorable experience.

 

Casual Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, or our Romantic Candlelight Showers

 

Luncheon Showers generally start between  noon and 1pm.   Menus can be tailored to your preferences and there are plenty of ideas in our Luncheons and Dinners section, but here’s our most popular:

French Estate House Pasta

(hearty pasta in a blush vodka sauce with grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts, finished with toasted pine nuts and parmesan)

A Great Big Premium Salad

Assorted Artisan Breads and Butter

Chocolate Cake or Cheesecake

Punch, Ice Water, and Coffee

$19 per person, inclusive

 

Afternoon Tea traditionally starts at 2 or 3pm.  You can start yours closer to lunch time if you prefer, in which case we suggest that you add in a salad or hot dish so it’s a bit more substantial.

Candlelight Showers are terribly romantic, and great for crowds with super-busy weekends.  We do these on a weeknight, starting at 6 or 7pm.  You can offer a meal, as detailed in our Luncheons and Dinners section, or bring in some wine and let us provide punch, and a display of appetizers for  $14 per person.
